Top-Flight Care At Cohen Children's Medical Center, we provide encouraging smiles and bright, comfortable places where sick children get the care they need. A ccidental injuries are the most common reason older kids are hospitalized, and our pediatric trauma specialists are available around the clock to provide the care that seriously injured young people need, when they need it. Rapid intervention saved Donovan after a car hit him (page 12). We not only put him on the path to recovery, but took care of his devastated family. Cohen Children's also works on new solutions. For example, Olivia, a local tween, is participating in a national pediatric kidney disease study (page 7). When Axsa Medrano's premature baby needed fortified nutrition, our Human Milk Center team prepared breast milk in a special, on-site facility (page 3). Mother and baby are now thriving at home. Having the know-how and resources makes all the difference as we work to help injured and sick kids get better.
