Dear One Health Readers, At a time when hospital emergency rooms are extremely busy and wait times are increasing, KentuckyOne Health recently introduced a new approach to emergency care. The goal of our new program is for patients to be seen by a provider within 30 minutes of their arrival, at any one of our 15 emergency room locations. We believe this will improve the patient experience, overall patient satisfaction and hospital effi ciency. You can read more about our new approach on pages eight and nine. It is also an important time of year to remember the importance of health screenings. Preventive health screenings are the key to detecting diseases early, and early detection often means more treatment options. Whether you are in need of a mammogram or biometric screening, KentuckyOne Health can assist you on your wellness journey. Read more about health screenings on pages six and seven.
