This award reflects Dr. Mandviwala's dedication to upholding the standards of Saint Joseph London, part of KentuckyOne Health — hope, healing and wellness. It also speaks to his generous spirit. Dr. Mandviwala and his wife, Shahnaz, are well known for their charitable work in the London community. "It is truly a privilege and humbling experience to receive this award and to be able to take care of people in London and its surrounding communities," Dr. Mandviwala said. "If I had to do it all over again, I would do it the same." David Greene, MD Internal medicine physician Dr. Greene was honored with the Physician Service Award at Saint Joseph Berea Foundation's fourth annual Gala for Healing and Hope on Saturday, March 4. Dr. Greene has devoted nearly 40 years to caring for patients in Berea and surrounding communities. He is a champion of Saint Joseph Berea Hospital, part of KentuckyOne Health, and the Saint Joseph Berea Foundation, and has gone above and beyond in his commitment to his patients. Each December at the Foundation's annual Lights for Life event, Dr. Greene honors the memories of his patients who have passed away during the year. "I had no idea when I was sent here by the National Health Service Corps in 1979 that I would find such a rewarding practice and that I would wind up staying 38 years," Dr. Greene said. "It has truly been a privilege and a pleasure to treat my patients and work with such an amazing hospital and clinical staff." In the spring, KentuckyOne Health Foundations celebrated National Doctors' Day by honoring health care providers who have made a difference in the lives of others. To honor a care provider who has gone above and beyond, visit KentuckyOneHealth.org/WaysToHelp, select a Foundation and choose "Donate Now." EACH YEAR, THE KENTUCKYONE HEALTH FOUNDATIONS RECOGNIZE PHYSICIANS WHO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO CARE FOR THEIR PATIENTS AND COMMUNITY BY PARTICIPATING IN COMMUNITY EVENTS. THIS YEAR'S HONOREES ARE SHINING EXAMPLES OF PROVIDERS WHO VALUE THEIR PATIENTS AND GIVING BACK. A GLIMPSE OF THE GALAS The Saint Joseph London Foundation Gala took place on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the London Community Center. Attendees enjoyed a full-plated dinner, live music played by the Kudmani band and a silent auction, with proceeds being allocated for Saint Joseph London's mother and baby unit.
