In the hands of highly trained surgeons, minimally invasive techniques yield faster recovery, reduced pain and overall improved outcomes for orthopaedic patients. Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center has united state-of-the-art technologies, formidable physician expertise and rigorous aftercare to bring these benefits to knee, hip and spine patients. Our cover feature takes an in-depth look at how Bronx-Lebanon is advancing care in our region. Yttrium-90 radioembolization is an eˆective means of combating liver cancer. A feature in our special clinical section about radiology examines potential applications of this therapy to treat a range of other conditions. In another article, we address the role of radiologists in helping hospitals prepare for mass casualty incidents. You will find a roundup of other news related to radiology and imaging as well. In addition, our People in the News and Local News sections bring you up to date about the individuals and organizations that are helping to shape health care in the area. I personally look forward to hearing your thoughts throughout the year on issues aˆecting your practice so that we can address important topics – both local and national.
