Julia Morgan WRITER I know it is summertime when the weather turns from pleasant to hot and rainy to humid—and I just love it! I love getting to hang out with family and friends on the weekends and enjoying the outdoors. One of the things I look forward to most when summer rolls around is family trips to the beach, a summer tradition for my family since before I was born. These beach trips have provided some of my fondest memories and will always be my favorite thing about summer. Andrea EDITOR As the summer days are now upon us, I find that looking out into my yard and seeing the colors of the plants brings a sense of warmth to my heart. This is also a great learning experience for my daughter. She is able to see that you must care for and nurture each seed you plant with sun and water. It allows her to learn that plants are like your body. With the proper care and love they will grow to be beautiful and healthy. Maggie EDITOR Snowcones, porch swings and baseball. These sights, sounds and tastes of my childhood summers continue to play a part in my summer traditions. Every year I look forward to the day when the local Sno Biz opens so I can slow down, relax and get that first taste of summer in the form of a refreshing snowcone with its resulting brain freeze.
