Not only can your attorney serve as your conf ida nt a nd adv isor for the ma ny situations in which you can find yourself in your long and winding journey as a professiona l, but he or she can a lso help create business entities to shield you a nd your practice from liability. A n attorney ca n help create a n estate pla n that ca n save you money, keep your affairs out of probate and keep your family safe. The right attorney can a lso advise you on premarita l agreements, divorce and probating a will. So ... sounds good, right? You need these professiona ls, but how do you go about finding them? First, ask friends, family and colleagues. Look for individua ls with certifications and specialties, just as you would expect your patients to do when they look for you.
