On June 1, 2017, I submitted my formal resignation effective August 31, 2017, as President of CHI Friendship. After having the honor and privilege of serving in this capacity for over 23 ½ years, I have been truly blessed in so many ways! During my time at CHI Friendship I have met many wonderful people … people we have supported, families, guardians, staff, and others from similar organizations, such as CQL [The Council on Quality and Leadership], DHS [Department of Human Services], P&A [Protection & Advocacy for People with Disabilities], and the State Health Department, to mention a few. So much has been accomplished over this period of time and yet, so much needs to be accomplished as we support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I am so very proud of this organization as we have worked to live out our Mission and Core Values in designing comprehensive supports and integrated employment and residential services. I have been blessed to have had such wonderful Board Members over the years that have given tremendous assistance and direction to CHI Friendship. They have led like "servant leaders," and I am so grateful for their time and their talents. Additionally, my Management and Leadership teams are second to none! Through compassionate encouragement and advocacy, they have helped pave the way for innovative services, allowing people supported to have more control and choices in their lives. All of our Direct Support Professionals strive to provide the most excellent supports with the utmost reverence for each person supported. As I take leave of this wonderful organization of great people, I am proud to have had a part in building its culture and its commitment to the people we support. I will miss you and will hold you close in my prayers for your continued success. Thank you all for your commitment to Excellence and Integrity! Thank you all for your Reverence and Compassion to the people we support! Thank you all for truly living out our Mission, in which we are called "to nurture the healing ministry of Christ." May God continue to shower His blessings upon you. Thanks for the great run—it is one I will treasure forever. Best Regards, Jeff Pederson President, CHI Friendship A GREAT RUN Dear Friends, CHI FRIENDSHIP /// chifriendship.com 3
