Q END ZONE / NEWS Lines We Like No-Compromise Outerwear Nothing's worse in sports than having to make a compromise — trading finesse for power, accuracy for distance or speed for endurance. When it comes to their apparel, players and fans facing off against the ele- ments usually grab either a bulky, weather- proof softshell or a light and flexible fleece that just can't stand up to cold and rain. Now the Storm Dfend from Holloway Sportswear delivers the best of both worlds by incorpo- rating a breathable, high-stretch fabric that feels like a lightweight pullover but delivers true weather resistance. Designed to provide the warmth of a heavyweight jacket with a lightweight fit and feel, it's a solution to com- bat that early-season chill or pop-up drizzle. Getting a Grip Vyse Gryppers are essentially a hybrid of gloves and tape for athletes and a function- al and fashionable solution for any athlete whose hands are critical to success. From a company called Gryppers, Inc., they are lightweight, seamless, multi-climate prod- ucts anatomically engineered to fit each individual finger, like a sleeve. The protec- tive performance technology stabilizes joints and ligaments while also increasing grip strength and reducing injury on impact. Vyse Gryppers can be worn independently or in tandem with traditional products to give comprehensive protection for gripping a bat or catching a football.
