A nother patient was a ba llet da ncer who had dislocated the middle of her foot. She received successful treatment here a nd went home uneventfully. " However, some ca ses have better outcomes when surger y is per for med sooner rat her t ha n later. We avoid surger y when possible, but when a non-operative approach will not be successful, we don't waste a patient 's time." GREISBERG, MD, Chief of Foot & Ankle Surgery, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center, and orthopedic trauma specialist, graduated summa cum laude with distinction in molecular biophysics and biochem - istry from Yale University. He obtained his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, followed by a fellowship in orthopedic trauma there. He completed an additional fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Greisberg is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He has an extensive research and publication history and has served as principal investigator on several studies.
