Take a look at how you've helped enrich the lives of the people we support. RIDE FOR FRIENDSHIP On August 26, area motorcyclists and classic car enthusiasts gathered in the CHI Friendship parking lot for Pastor Mark's 3rd annual "Ride for Friendship." Their mission? Travel 60 miles by motorcycle or car to Victory Free Lutheran Church to raise money for a good cause. "We had a great turnout and raised funds to help the people we support buy assistive devices like eyeglasses and hearing aids that insurance often doesn't cover," said Dori Leslie, Vice President of CHI Friendship. "We are so grateful for every donation." The event was free of charge and open to all community members. Attendees made donations to the cause. FRIENDSHIP, FUN, AND CRAFTS We held our annual Oktoberfest craft fair in Fargo on October 13 and in Grafton on October 14. Community members got a head start on their Christmas shopping by perusing such homemade goods as canned and fresh garden vegetables, pickles, jams, jellies, baked goods, quilts and blankets, wooden crafts, and seasonal decor. Funds raised at the event helped us purchase Christmas gifts for the people we support. "Our community truly embraces the CHI Friendship Mission," Leslie said. "Their generosity helps us create a comfortable environment where the people we support can live as independently as possible and lead happy and healthy lives." These events are held annually, and everyone is invited to participate. CHI Friendship Is Hiring CHI Friendship is looking for applicants committed to delivering quality direct support.
