LiveUP moment 5 Quick Ways to LiveUP Today Mendy Kratofil, RN, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Mercy Medical Center–Centerville MERCY-CENTERVILLE IS FORTUNATE to have Mendy Kratofil, RN, leading the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. Mendy is passionate about helping others not only complete their programs but incorporate them into their daily lives long after cardiac rehabilitation is finished. She encourages patients to start where they are and make small increases. Paul Witt, a recent patient, said, "Mendy is motivating and makes it fun. Had it not been for Mendy, I may not have continued." "She has a way of motivating you so you feel your goals are attainable," said another patient. "She is so excited and passionate about getting people moving. I believe that is the key to her success." After recently completing a 10K run on Pancake Day, Mendy went back to encourage one of her patients who was walking the 5K for the first time in his life. They crossed the finish line together. Mendy lives up for her patients every day through healing forged in amazing service. Everyone needs a little motivation especially when it comes to health and exercise. 1. Stop what you are doing and help someone. 2. Team up with someone to live a healthier life. 3. Make a care package for someone in need. 4. Sincerely thank one person each day. 5. Volunteer for a nonprofit. MERCY MEDICAL CENTER-CENTERVILLE /// www.mercycenterville.org 7
