Under the capable leadership of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Director Shane Williams, our emergency medical technicians and paramedics deliver both basic and advanced life support treatment, allowing our professionals to administer certain drugs and use invasive methods of care when necessary to save lives. In fact, KDH received one of the first advanced life support designations in southern Indiana. Our emergency services also extend beyond providing critical care. We've hosted educational outreach programs at local schools and first-aid/CPR classes for community members, and we work with local fire departments to enhance first-responder programs. We also provide EMS standby units to events throughout our area. KDH is committed to ensuring that our friends and family members have ready access to critical care when they need it most. Our EMS team has provided care throughout Jefferson County for many years, without receiving any county funding. EMS is the front line for patient care. People call us under the most dire of circumstances, and we are there to help them through it. Taking care of people is what we do. Wishing you wellness, Carol Dozier President and CEO of King's Daughters' Health
