DEAR PHYSICIANS: Attracting the best talent ranks at the top on my list of priorities for the Johns Hopkins All Children's health system. The people create the accomplishments, the discoveries, the cures. They are the life blood of bringing the Johns Hopkins Medicine standard of care to Florida. They are the ones who care for the patients you refer to us or consult with you about challenging cases. We celebrate in this issue of Leading Care just some of the talent at the hospital. For instance: George Jallo, M.D., who joined us in 2015, and the largest pediatric neurosurgery team in the state Peter Shaw, M.D., who came in 2016, and his team that is expanding our Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology program Neil Goldenberg, M.D., Ph.D., who joined us in 2012, and a group of faculty and trainees who gather monthly to discuss complex stroke and thrombosis cases and invite pediatric specialists from around the county to participate. Not all of the vast talent at this hospital has joined us in recent years. Aside from Jallo, the neurosurgeons on his team all have been here for many years. Jose Prieto, M.D., medical director of our maternal-fetal medicine program, has been managing high-risk pregnancies here for decades. We are blessed to be as rich with talent as we are, but we never can be satisfied. We continue to strive to attract the best people to achieve the exceptional outcomes and service patients and partners deserve. Sincerely, Jonathan M.
