I am originally from the MetroWest area, and my husband had the opportunity to join a biotech organization in Cambridge, so we decided to move back to Massachusetts to be close to family and purchase our "forever" home. We were looking for the perfect home which could accommodate our needs and evoke our desires. It was a tough search as we viewed many new and existing homes throughout the area. We could not find one that we could see ourselves spending the rest of our lives in. However, our search ended when we found the listing for 34 Candy Hill Lane. We immediately contacted and met John Malone from Benoit Mizner Simon who was the listing broker. When buyers like us are asked by Realtors what they are looking for in a new home purchase, they generally mention location, number of bedrooms, quality of the kitchen as well as other physical attributes. But in reality, what everyone is really looking for is for their heart to "skip a beat" when they open the door for the first time. This is what happened to us. Our hearts skipped when we pulled into the driveway, walked through the front door, entered the kitchen and again when we saw the master suite. The builder, Mike Palmer, understood what type of home best fit the bucolic setting of the property and meticulously built a home that evokes feeling through the design, materials, layout and attention to detail. Within five minutes we were placing our furniture in the home, imagining formal gatherings and backyard barbecues.
