"I HAVE NOT MIssED the NAHB IBS show in 26 years," says Betty Moore, Publisher. "You are missing an educational experience in every way if you don't put this on your calendar for next year." There is a very talented group from Boston that attends year after year. Many serve on committees. Ted Mahoney, Paul Sullivan, Scott Coldwell, David O'Sullivan, Jay Gallagher, Emerson Clauss III and many more were there. "I caught up with my friend Tom Silva, from This Old House, my favorite TV show," Betty says. "Laureyn Furtney, Velux, a new member of BRAGB, and my special friends, Bev and Steve Smirnis from Dallas, were a lso there. They both serve as judges and publish Building Savvy magazine." Our BRAGB member Ted Mahoney III has served as Chairman of The New American Home many times over the years. The New American Home overlooks the Las Vegas Strip, and every year it gets more dramatic. "I feel like I've gotten to know Tucker Bernard, Executive Director, NAHB, Drew Smith, COO Green Building Consultant, the builders and architects over the years of The New American Home," Betty says. "Thanks, Ted, for always inviting me to this special event, and thanks for your dedication year after year to the Builders Association. "Also, The New American Remodeling Home's Chairperson, Paul Sullivan. Thank you, Paul, for inviting me to your award-winning Hall of Fame and The New American Remodel. Thank you, Kessebohmer USA, Inc. for having me at your special event, displaying your newest storage solutions for the kitchen. Cindy Alford is the local rep in New England." A lot of hard work and dedication go into this every year. See you next year at the IBS, January 21–23 in Las Vegas. n NAHB International Builders' Show 2019 Fun photos from IBS 2019 5 0 | bOsTON.bUILDERARCHITECT.COM Builder+Architect GREATER bOsTON
