wiss performance brand On has made a
big splash in the running market since its
introduction in 2010 and the brand is con-
tinuing to ramp up its innovative offerings
heading into Fall 2019 and beyond.
Two standout trail offerings from On for the upcom-
ing season include a shoe built for trail racing and one
for speed hiking.
The On Cloudventure Peak trail running shoe is
built for runners looking for a lightweight trail com-
petition shoe with downhill cushioning. It features the
"aggressive bite" of a Missiongrip outsole, along with
a high-torsion Speedboard and shock-absorbing cloud
heels. A breathable, durable stretch mesh upper and a
sock-like construction ensures precision fit and comfort.
Elastic taping wraps the forefoot for extra support without
additional laces. On the outsole, multidirectional lugs are
positioned to support a natural push-off motion, while
five forefoot cloud pods provide forefoot cushioning
and double as grip studs on softer ground.
The Cloudrock Waterproof from On is a speed hiking
shoe designed for those looking to cover rough terrain
quickly in all conditions. The upper is waterproof and
breathable and has a high collar to protect the ankle
from rough ground and "wild weather." The Speedboard
construction supports stability as well as forward motion.
The outsole features a Missiongrip rubber overlay for
grip and traction and Zero-Gravity Clouds provide cush-
ioning and energy return for long-distance comfort. l
