48 | SUMMER 2019 Our changing look T he Marketing Department at American Airlines Federal Credit Union has been busy. After launching a completely rede- signed website in March, the department used the culmination of this two-year project to also introduce a new visual style to all of its market- ing channels. Earlier this year, the Credit Union part- nered with Path Creative and photographer Sheryl Lanzel to begin a series of professional photoshoots designed to promote our ongoing relationship with American Airlines while show- casing some of our own team members in the process. Marketing was eager to fulfill a longtime goal of creating imagery of uniformed airline employees interacting within a Credit Union environment. This step provided a much-need- ed layer of authenticity to existing marketing efforts. While implementing this project, Marketing reached out to American Airlines to recruit em- ployees from all walks of company life who were also loyal Credit Union members. The team captured images during daylong sessions at the Credit Union's DFW-D airport branch and the Heritage Town Crossing branch in Euless. The shoots yielded a number of beau- tiful images featuring American team members from a variety of workgroups, including pilots, flight attendants and ramp workers. You may already have seen a few of these photos when logging in to the redesigned web- site, as well as on posters for the Credit Union's recent Member Appreciation Day. There will, of course, be more sessions to come with a third shoot is in the works for this summer to better illustrate airline members in their home environment. In the meantime, watch the Credit Union's marketing materials over the next few months. You never know who might pop up. You might start seeing some familiar faces BY TODD CAMP
