Ruslan Shnayder, MD Dr. Shnayder (pediatrics) is board-certified in pediatrics. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Sackler School of Medicine, New York State/American Program of Tel Aviv University, and completed his pediatric residency at Maimonides Children's Hospital. Prior to joining CareMount Medical, Dr. Shnayder served as the Chief Pediatric Resident at Maimonides Children's Hospital. He will practice at CareMount Medical's Rhinebeck and Kingston offices and will have privileges at Northern Dutchess Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Diego Camacho, MD, FACS, Director, Minimally Invasive and Endoscopic Surgery, and Director, Fellowship Program, Montefiore Health System; and Associate Professor, Surgery, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, earned the No Land Too Far award from Westfair Business Journal in the outlet's 6th Annual Doctors of Distinction cer - emony. This award recognizes a physician who donates his or her time and expertise to countries where medical care is either nonexistent or at the barest minimum. Born in Guatemala, Dr. Camacho had firsthand experience with the lack of advanced medical training for surgeons in these regions and felt strongly that he had to "pay it forward" and educate both cur - rent surgeons and surgical residents in Central and South America. Dr. Camacho, who specializes in laparoscopic surgery, has now taught this technique to countless surgeons and surgical residents in Central and South America. Dr. Camacho holds a medical degree from the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala City, Guatemala, where he graduated in the top 5% of his class. He completed his residency in general surgery at Ohio State University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident and received the best teacher award. Following his resi - dency, he completed fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery at Baylor College of Medicine's Michael E. Debakey Department of Surgery. Dr. Camacho is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and an active member in several leading professional societies, including the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. Susan Monaco, Chief Revenue Officer of CareMount Health Solutions LLC CareMount Health Solutions LLC appointed Susan Monaco to Chief Revenue Officer, where she is responsible for revenue budgeting and forecasting, practice support, and operational efficiency in all aspects of the revenue cycle. Monaco has worked for CareMount Medical for more than 20 years, ser ving most recently as its Senior Director of Business Ser vices and prior to that, as Director of Billing and Accounts Receivable. Prior to joining CareMount, Monaco was Director of Billing Services at Advanced Health and had also served as Vice President of Finance at Meditab Consulting Co. Inc. Monaco earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Pace University. Barbara Levitz with husband, Jack, and son, Mitchell Barbara Levitz, a leader in services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, has retired from The Westchester Institute for Human Development (WIHD). Levitz has worked at WIHD in various capacities for 30 years. She played a key role in developing WIHD's early intervention service coordination model, employing parents of children with disabilities and providing train - ing across the county on replicating this unique model. At the same time, she played a key role in the establishment of Parent-to-Parent of New York State as a statewide family support initiative and worked on the pas - sage of family support legislation both in New York and nationally. The Levitz family was recently honored as the WIHD Mission Family for representing the mission of WIHD — to help children and adults with developmental disabilities reach their full potential. Barbara's son, Mitchell Levitz, who has Down syndrome, began attending early interven - tion at WIHD at 6 months old. Now, years later, Mitchell is a staff member at WIHD, offering an amazing perspective and contributions to both staff members and families and individuals served by WIHD. Lisa B. Spiryda, MD, board-certified obstetrician/ gynecologist Lisa B. Spiryda, MD, a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist, has joined Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow as Director of OB/GYN. She has expansive clinical expertise encompassing the full spectrum of obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Spiryda earned MD and PhD degrees through the prestigious Medical Scientist Training Program at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University. After three years in private practice in Rhinebeck, New York, Dr. Spiryda prac - ticed at several academic institutions, including the University of South Carolina and the University of Florida-Shands, where she was Director of Colposcopy, Director of Vulva Disease and Director of Research. Most recently, she was Professor and Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Alabama. n M D N E W S .
