Central New York 05-820 PUBLISHER from the Thank you very much for reading the September/October edition of MD News. Once again, we examine the world- class health care available right here in Central New York. With decades of technological firsts and a unique multidis- ciplinary partnership, the Dr. Hadley J. Falk Breast Health Center at Crouse Hospital continues its pioneering approach to breast care. When the Falk Breast Health Center at Crouse Hospital acquired a tomosynthesis table, the facility became the only one in Central New York to offer mammogram-guided biopsies. The imaging and biopsy technology at the Falk Breast Health Center is top of the line, including 3D digital mammography and breast MRI with computer-aided detection, as well as core biopsies, including ultrasound-guided, MRI-guided and mammogram-guided. Our interior feature focuses on Crouse Radiology Associates (CRA). CRA Medical Imaging offers patients access to subspecialty-trained radiologists and state-of-the-art imaging devices, including the only fully digital PET/CT scanner in the Central New York region. Facilitated by a skilled team of providers with an average of more than 20 years of clinical radiology experience, CRA Medical Imaging provides patients in Syracuse, Auburn, Fulton, Central Square, Hamilton and Oswego with convenient access to a robust line of diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology services. These services include bone density screenings (DXA); PET/CT, CT, MRI/MRA (magnetic resonance angiography), ultrasound and X-ray imaging; digital and 3D mammography; nuclear medicine; radioembolization; needle biopsies; radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation of tumors in the liver, lung, kidney and bone; uterine artery embolization; feeding tube placement; thoracentesis and paracentesis; gonadal vein embolization; vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty; vascular access; and biliary interventions.
