METHODIST HEALTHCARE NAMES NEW CEO OF METHODIST TEXSAN HOSPITAL AND METHODIST AMBULATORY SURGERY HOSPITAL Methodist Healthcare has announced the promotion of Scott Rausch, MHA, to CEO of Methodist Texsan Hospital and Methodist Ambulatory Surgery Hospital. Rausch is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital, where he has served since 2015. Rausch began his new role on July 8. "Scott has been instrumental in building a strong culture and leading the Methodist Stone Oak Hospital through a number of major projects," says Allen Harrison, President and CEO of Methodist Healthcare. "We are excited to promote such a strong leader from within our Methodist Healthcare family to this important role." At Methodist Stone Oak Hospital, Rausch managed the 100-bed expansion that opened in 2017 and the operating room expansion that opened this year. He also led the opening of the Acute Rehab Facility, which was recognized as one of the fastest ramp-ups for a rehab unit in HCA. Rausch began his career working in the HCA North Texas division for nearly five years before coming back to the San Antonio area. In 2014, he served as Associate COO at Methodist Texsan Hospital. Rausch isn't just a native of San Antonio — he was born at Methodist Hospital in the Medical Center. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Tech University and his Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Trinity University. CHRISTUS SANTA ROSA HOSPITAL-WESTOVER HILLS CELEBRATES DECADE OF SERVICE CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital-Westover Hills, an award-winning, major healthcare resource for San Antonio's northwest side, marked its 10th anniversary on July 9. In doing so, it celebrates the associates, physicians, nurses and volunteers who have been part of its growth and success. Open for a decade, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital-Westover Hills has become the healthcare go-to hospital for many young families, and it is frequented by thousands of visitors to nearby amusement parks and area attractions. "We are very excited to celebrate our 10th anniversary. This is a milestone for our young campus and something to take note of," says Dean Alexander, President and CEO of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System and President of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital-Westover Hills. "Our celebration at Westover Hills is also in conjunction with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System's 150th anniversary. These important mile - stones show our continued commitment to offering high-quality, com- passionate care to our growing community. Because of our mission to extend the healing ministry, we look forward to more years of service." CHRISTUS Santa Rosa kicked off the event with an opening prayer from Regional Vice President of Mission Integration Dennis Gonzales, PhD, and remarks from Alexander.
