T HE HERITAGE COMMONS location unites SOS spine specialists and foot and ankle specialists in one location, where they can provide specialized care in facilities easily accessed from Interstate 81 and the New York State Thruway. Once at the Heritage Commons building, patients won't have to travel elsewhere for diagnostic testing. Jim Colone, R.T. (R) (MR), Director of Ancillary Services at SOS, explains that the new location enables patients to see highly skilled providers who have at their fingertips the technology to appropriately assess and treat their conditions. "SOS is striving to provide the best orthopedic care and solutions available for the people of Central New York," Colone says. "The new Heritage Commons building offers the latest technology and brings more of our providers to the north side of town for easy access." MEET THE TEAMS Spine Care Warren E. Wulff, M.D., board-certified orthopedic surgeon at SOS, explains that the growing volume of patients seen at Dewitt-Widewaters — which until now had been home to all of SOS' neck and back specialists — necessitated the additional facility. "We decided to build a duplicate version of our spine center in northern Syracuse, where much of our patient population originates," Dr. Wulff says. Replicating the facility means patients have access to a team of six spine physicians and four midlevel practitioners. They also have access to X-ray and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) capabilities, as well as the pain management specialists of New York Spine & Wellness Center in the same Heritage Commons building. + Richard J.
