Be productive every day
Whether you want to check more off your to-do list at work, at home or in your
personal life, there are some time-tested ways to be productive. Here are four
strategies to help you tackle each day. — Bridget McCrea
Schedule your day.
Begin each morning
with a clear picture
of what's ahead. Use
the calendar that's
on your phone, a
productivity planner
or a paper-based
calendar — the key is
to organize your top
to-do items.
Cut screen time.
Limiting social media
and other digital
distractions to certain
times of the day (e.g.,
once in the morning
and once at night)
can free you up to
focus on actionable
tasks.
Learn to say no.
If you agree to every
request, your own
goals will fall to the
backburner. To say
no effectively, be firm
and direct and never
apologize for your
decision.
Prioritize self-care.
Reserve at least 30
minutes to exercise,
get some fresh air
or spend time doing
something that will
clear your mind.
