Tourism operators must prioritise all the environmental factors that will potentially affect a community and a destination. It is their responsibility to identify all the positive and negative impacts that their activity, operations and infrastructure has on the environment. Tourism operators and staff should be advocates for protecting the environment and making sure their visitors are educated and do the same.
