First, we would be remiss if we did not thank the physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals of all stripes who are fighting the ongoing pandemic. Thank you so much for what you do for us all! On that front, our cover story deals with the forward thinkers at Upstate Medical University. Even before the coronavirus arrived in the United States, a group of proactive physicians at Upstate Medical University read the signs and prepared for action. Their quick response, paired with a culture of institutional preparedness and creativity, helped Upstate respond effectively to the crisis. Today, the medical center and its practices are open for business, even as the missions of testing a vaccine and providing ongoing care for patients with COVID-19 continue. Central New York and the region are very fortunate to have this level of professionals working for us every day. Our interior feature article covers Patsy Iannolo, MD, PhD, and his new practice in Skaneateles, New York. Two generations of Central New York patients have benefited from the expertise and respect shown to them by internal medicine physician Dr. Iannolo.
