Building on the electrocardiogram feature offered in the most recent model of the sophisticated watch, the blood oxygen detection is intended to help tech-savvy watch enthusiasts identify increased risk for emergent situations, such as cardiac arrest. In the event that blood oxygen levels drop to an unhealthy level, the watch will alert the wearer. The sleek and stylish monitoring option is not considered a substitute for professional medical attention or devices, especially for individuals with existing cardiac conditions. Instead, it is intended to signal to a user that it may be time to consult a healthcare provider. n Sinus Solution Approved for Use in European Union S I N C E R EC E I V I N G F D A 510(k) clearance in 2019, ClearUP Sinus Pain Relief, a hand-held device from Tivic Health, has offered relief to those experiencing allergy-related sinus challenges, including congestion, pain and pressure. Individuals on the other side of the Atlantic may now receive those same benefits, as the company has received CE mark approval in the European Union. ClearUP utilizes a microcurrent waveform to stimulate sinus nerve fibers. Individuals experiencing sinus complications may simply glide the device along the appropriate points in the brow bone, cheek and nasal bone. Three levels of waveform intensity offer options to choose from, depending on sinus symptom severity.
