Twisted-X is launching a line
of footwear that uses no glue
in its construction. Footwear in
Twisted-X's new, no-glue Zero-X
line is made utilizing a proprietary
interlocking, double-stitching
system. The construction process
eliminates 75 percent of the harsh
environmental issues created with
traditional footwear, according to
the brand. The lightweight and
breathable shoes have ecoTWX
uppers made from recycled plas-
tic water bottles salvaged from
oceans and landfills. The Zero-X
line will include four styles for men
and four styles for women, with full
distribution coming in February,
2021. A tree will be planted with
every pair sold.
Deckers, parent company of
brands such as Hoka One One,
Teva and Ugg, is offering a collec-
tion of shoes under the Deckers
X Lab label that is described as
being the natural evolution of the
Deckers Brands Innovation Team.
The X-Scape Mid, pictured here,
combines slipper comfort with
casual style and running shoe
performance. The X-Scape uses
EcoTan grava leather and has a
wool felt upper lined with Looped
Wool for a barefoot feel while also
acting as a thermoregulator.
