John Torrey Morse Jr. was a previous owner of this
magnificent circa 1928 estate. He was an American
lawyer and biographer in Boston, MA. He graduated
from Harvard University and was a founding member of
the Harvard Club. He worked with Henry Cabot Lodge
as an editor of The International Review. Morse
composed legal works and biographies, including
those of Alexander Hamilton and his cousin, Dr. Oliver
Wendell Holmes.
