"I want to shout from the rooftops: Y have to go to these doctors.
ou
They're amazing. The hospital is amazing."

board-certified
neurosurgeon
THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT
As was the case with Linda's surgery,
technology plays a critical role in
modern neurosurgery, according
to Dr. Joseffer. The use of special
microscopes and GPS-type equipment
in the operating room allows the
physicians to precisely target the
tumor, separate the tiny connections
between the tumor and surrounding
tissues, and provide as little disruption
to the brain as possible.
Dr. Joseffer notes that, "CentraState
invested in getting the technology that allows us to
provide very advanced care. By using technology to make
the surgery as least invasive as possible, we're able to get
people functioning faster.
"
Linda's recovery was rapid. She left the hospital within
the week and returned to work one month after her
seizure. "The hospital was great, Linda says. "They've
"
got something going here, and it's working. I guess that's
why they're getting the doctors they're getting.
"
"I put 99 percent of my success on the doctors, the
surgeons and the technology they have now. The further
out from this I get, the more I'm astounded by the entire
event, muses Linda. "I had a brain tumor. It's four months
"
later, and I'm done with it.
