The basement stairs are full of detail and lots of light. The "man cave" room, the basement boasts 9' ceilings with ample living space to include a recreation room, bar and billiard area and home gym. Tall ceilings, white walls, gracious recessed lighting and very deliberate window placement perfectly illuminate the space. The billiard table was built by Pat Corrigan years ago. In the powder room, Karina aspired to create a lavish, spa-worthy mood employing lowlights and dark granite paint color (the same found on the home exterior). The massive granite sink was custom-designed and marries the austere with the more delicate but still modern floor tile. The coveted mudroom feature is indispensable to the Corrigan clan, offering a combination of open shelving for easy shoe access and cabinet doors to conceal the clutter. 2 4 | BOSTON.BUILDERARCHITECT.COM Builder+Architect GREATER BOSTON, CAPE COD AND THE ISLANDS COVER FEATURE PHOTOGRAPHY: DAMIANOS PHOTOGRAPHY
