In Jesse, they instilled a strong and fastidious work ethic and a desire to serve others with his talents. He would learn over twenty years in the industry that one of his most adept skills is team and project management. "I'm very attentive to quality control," Jesse said. "If it's not done right, I'm tearing it out." By t he sa me token , Jesse is a sh rewd business owner and inclined to make sure the job is completed to perfection the first time around. To this end, he relies on the project architect to do what he cannot—draw and scale renderings. Which means finding a couple of new team members similar to our senior Ipswich Blue—This kitchen project in Ipswich project eventually evolved into a broader remodel to include all bathrooms, living room, deck and mudroom. "I met these clients at a home show—proof they do pay off," Jesse said. "We fell in love with each other." The WORKS by JD team custom built the barn door for the pantry, decking it out with sharp hardware. The kitchen cabinets and granite countertops were designed by Heartwood Kitchens. WORKS by JD refinished the floors, self-performed all the carpentry and interior painting, and subbed out the electrical, roofing, plastering, plumbing, HVAC and stonework. There are a few WORKS by JD team who have the skills to perform any of the above-mentioned work (licensing trades excepted) in the event they need to. "We're very diversified," Jesse said.
