KEEPING CARE LOCAL Oneida Health is known for providing award-winning patient safety and patient ex perience to the communities they serve. "We strive to give state-of-the-art medicine in a community setting," says Dr. Martinez. The goal is to continue that small community touch, no matter how much they grow, with a focus on keeping patients local. "Modern cancer care is intricate and well-orchestrated in that a patient may need chemotherapy, radiation therapy, specia lized imaging, biopsy, molecular pathology, surgery or genetic screening. If these disciplines don't reside under the same roof, it can take a long time to develop a treatment plan.
