The quiet and the snow are beautiful! I can't think of any other place I'd rather be today than doing what I'm doing. I love all the trades, the builders, architects, subs and suppliers. Without you, this magazine wouldn't exist. It's been over 29 years. I just completed renovating my house I had built in 1972 on a lake back in Northern KY/Greater Cincinnati. I flew to Greater Cincinnati for four days over the last four months to get it done. Leaving on Saturday morning early and returning late on Tuesday. I had been renting it all these years. I had so much fun! We totally gutted it and installed all new wide plank hardwood floors, new bathrooms and a new finished family room with shiplap. I already had put a new kitchen in a few years ago. We renovated the lower level with the great room, where we used to play ping-pong and have family fun. I always wanted to flip a house and I did it. The best part of all of this was that I got to spend quality time with my daughter and granddaughter. I had a great time seeing my old neighbors. Most still live there. It brought back memories of all the kids ice skating on the lake, making a big bonfire, roasting marshmallows and fishing in the summer. The house sold in one day and ended up in a bidding war. I'll miss the house, but it was time to sell. This month, I'm proud to feature Artak (Art) Sahakyan, A&A Building and Remodeling. He started at the age of 23 with a strong and focused work ethic. He has built a team of dedicated, highly respected people who he cares about. He hires people you can train with character. You can't train character, Art said. I'm proud to feature SBS OneSource again. Chris Dias is a true leader! He has instilled in each and every person at SBS to always find a way to say "yes." And yes, Art, Chris and most of the builders I've featured you could find at IBS, learning about new products and new technology. Art has done work for me, and I can testify he and his team are professiona l, clean and efficient!
