Ales Grey Rodeo Drive Slip-On A new brand from industry veteran Steve Patiño, Ales Grey is aiming for luxury design coupled with sustainability and "making a positive change." With every shoe sold, LA-based Ales Grey will contribute a portion of sales to support the Inner-City Arts Mission in LA. e Rodeo Drive Slip-On, made in Italy, is lightweight and made with an antibacterial closed cell structure; and uses 51% recycled sustainable foam material. Naked's T/r trail racing shoe features laceless technology that reduces weight and "unnecessary encumbrances." Proprietary Linerloc stitched insoles in the shoes help reduce slipping and also reduce weight and hot spots. e sole uses Vibram's Litebase and Traction Lug technologies with Megagrip for traction and performance. It is made almost entirely from plant-based materials (cotton, hemp, algae, and sugar cane) and it can "transform" into four different shoe silhouettes — by removing the insole and collapsing down the desired toe or heel portions, you can have a sandal, a slide, a mule, or a sneaker, all in one. One do-it-all style instead of four different shoes fits the ethos of company founder and designer Patrick Hogan: "Buy less shoes, create less waste." MSRP $98.
