I've known Kurt for over 20 years. In a previous issue, he was on the cover of the magazine with his good friend and colleague, Arthur Massaro of Columbia Contracting Corp., where Kurt was Managing Supervisor. C2MG Builders' motto is "Lead by Serving." That motto shines through in his highly skilled craftsmen, strong leadership and respect for the artisans he has used to make up the company for years. It's very exciting and rewarding for me to have featured a lot of the subs and suppliers in this issue for almost 30 years, including JJ Hardwood Floors, Inc., Northern Lights Painting Company, Inc., Nine Points Woodworking, Sully & Sons and many more. I'll share one thing that happened on the jobsite doing this issue: Bob Sully had me meet him on a jobsite while he was framing for another builder. He came out proudly holding the reprint I made for him in 1998. "I got this job because of you and this reprint," he said. "Yes," the builder said, "he did." I know many of you know me after almost 30 years and how strict I am about putting builders, architects, subs and suppliers in the magazine if they haven't been recommended. I'm also PROUD I've kept the same highly respected and skilled group in the magazine for almost 30 years. I a m a t r ue T R A DE M AGA ZI N E for bu i lders, remodelers, architects, interior designers, designers, subs and suppliers. It's sad news that architect Peter Smith suddenly passed away Aug. 26. Peter attended the Boston Architectural Center while working at Shepley Bulfinch. He founded the award- winning firm Campbell/Smith in Duxbury with his wife, Pamela Campbell. Campbell/ Smith was a recipient in 2018 of the prestigious Bulfinch Award presented by the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art. I always loved spending a lot of time with Peter in his quaint office and learned a lot from him. Please support the advertisers. THEY ARE THE BEST! Without the support of everyone, Builder+Architect magazine wouldn't exist. A specia l tha nk you to Horner Millwork, California Closets, Best Tile, Oasis Shower Doors, Pella Windows, Topaz and many more who have advertised with Builder+Architect for almost 30 years. We will be celebrating 30 years at a gala to be announced.
