TRENDINSIGHT e summer season is almost upon us, and most consumers expect to spend as much, or more, than they did on footwear last spring and summer according to our latest survey. e top styles our respondents say they will be purchasing are sandals and flip flops (78%), followed by running shoes (64%) and casual comfort footwear (58%). While 93% of surveyed consumers tell us they plan to spend as much or more on footwear this spring/summer season as last year, 58% say they will "buy less shoes" if they see the prices of footwear rising. When asked about sustainability, respondents were split, with 32% saying, "yes," a brand's sustainability commitment impacts their purchasing decision, 43% saying it has "somewhat" of an impact, and 25% saying it has "no" impact.
