If not, then no. Female 25 I don't feel like I can negotiate for price in store unless they have a known price match policy. Female 38 If the store advertises a price-match policy I might, but probably not. e person at the store I'm in helped me, not the online store or other retailer. Male 42 It's fine to ask, but the retailer certainly can say, no! Male 55 If I took the time to try on a shoe at an in person store, I think you should ask to price match prior to trying the shoe on. Male 35 I don't normally ask an associate to offer a lower sale price, I am mindful of the price but consider convenience, store experience, shipping time and other factors. Male 41 I would look up the store policy to see if they price match. If so, I would ask, otherwise I would buy online. Female 30 I don't do that because I prefer to buy at the store (even if price is a bit higher) because I want to reward the employee for the help and experience. However, I feel asking for a discount in store is the right thing to do instead of buying somewhere else. At least give the store an opportunity to work with you on a solution. Female 49 I typically do not, but if there is a discrepancy be- tween cost online v. in-store I would inquire if they offer matching or other in-store incentives. Male 50 If the shoe is priced at retail, I will ask if they have any discounts available, but I will not ask if they will compete with an e-commerce site Male 47 Maybe - if the price is high for the same shoe and I can get elsewhere cheaper but want to give the store business vs. getting online I might ask. Female 44 You are paying for the experience and service. If it's on the stores website then they should honor their own online price. Male 38 MAYBE
