and eventually new builds. Recognizing the need to scale their expertise,
the brothers brought together an elite team, now boasting over 150 years of
combined experience. Brother Justo Ortiz joined the operation a few years
later, reinforcing the company's identity as a family‑oriented business. This
ethos extends beyond the brothers to every member of the team, fostering an
environment of belonging, trust and mutual respect.
LEADING FROM THE FRONT
"Each one teach one" is a guiding principle, Moses explained, emphasizing con‑
tinuous learning and shared growth. "We strategically put people who excel in
a particular area together with others who may need additional reinforcement,
allowing a balance of power, a balance of skill and a balance of knowledge."
Ohannes echoes this sentiment, underscoring a leadership style rooted
in leading by example, ensuring every team member embodies Top Notch's
commitment to excellence.
"We always try to lead from the front," Ohannes said. "You'll never see us ask
our team to do something we won't do ourselves."
