runstylemag.com # THE BUZZ Following the retirement of South Sound Running founders Greg Klein and Joan Marchioro, Wade and Julie Pannell have acquired the Olympia and Puyallup locations, and have reopened the two locations as Fleet Feet Olympia and Fleet Feet Puyallup. Along with their six existing Fleet Feet stores throughout Washington, including Bonney Lake, Spokane, Spokane North, Spokane Valley, Tacoma and Richland, the acquisition further strengthens the presence the Pannells have in Washington. Minimalist footwear brand Peluva has introduced the Strand Sport Mesh ($139.99), the newest addition to its Strand family of footwear. The Strand Sport Mesh features five-toed construction, an EVA midsole, a zero-drop flexible sole, and an all- new breathable mesh fabric upper. The style is designed for walking, gym workouts, and living a barefoot- inspired everyday life. Movv, a new Scandinavian running footwear brand, is launching in Europe this Spring, and founder Nikolai Christensen, whose background includes experience at both Ecco and Keen, says the product could make its way to U.S. retail by August 2025 "if all goes well." Movv is launching with one neutral shoe for both women and men, with a support shoe in development. e brand is focused on creating running shoes that reduce running related injuries and utilizes experience and data to develop its products. Movv has access to more than 1,000,000 runners foot scans from its partners, and is aiming to be very consumer and data -driven — no "unnecessary SKUs just to drive turnover … instead only making changes to the design if community feedback demands it."
