I t HAS BEEN OVER 33 years since I published my first issue of Builder+Architect magazine. B+A was the first trade ma ga zi ne ma i led f ree a nd dig ita l to bui lders, architects, interior designers, tradesmen and members of the builder's associations in Massachusetts, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. This past week was busy, starting with the BuildingEnergy Boston show at the Westin Hotel, then another event at the Design Center with IFDA and JLC LIVE in Rhode Island. The most rewarding thing for me is attending and connecting with the building tradespeople that I have known for 33 years. You keep me motivated and inspired. This month, I'm proud to feature Nick Falkoff, Founder and General Manager of Auburndale Builders, for the second time. Auburndale Builders has won the PRISM Awards on Nick's High-Performance homes many times. He credits his team! Studio HPDC's partners, board and staff had an Open House at the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) BuildingEnergy Boston show, teaching about High-Performance Building courses, and vocational school programs and projects. I enjoy this show every year. Thank you, Nick! It was educational and fun to attend the Barn training event hosted by Auburndale Builders with Steven Baczek, Architect, where students, tradespeople and builders gathered for training. It's always great to see Ross Trethewey teaching his classes on making homes more comfortable and efficient. I go back to 1993 at the Hynes Convention Center where I met his dad, Richard Trethewey. This Old House is my favorite TV show, where you learn about building a home. Enjoy photography of all the exciting events of the past months, where the industry's most talented builders, architects, interior designers and visionaries gathered.
