from the Publisher W Greater Boston issue of MD News. This month's cover story represents another chapter in the migration of world-class care that used to be available only in the city. Michael Jones For more than 100 years, New England Baptist PUBLISHER Hospital has been building its reputation as one Greater Boston of the nation's premier orthopedic hospitals 508-888-1502 from it's location at the top of Mission Hill in Boston. Now, with the opening of a brand-new 66,000-square-foot outpatient care center, it's moving to the suburbs. Through interviews with the hospital's top surgeons and CEO, we take a look at what this means for referring physicians and their patients. ELCOME TO THE SEPTEMBER MJONES@MDNEWS.COM Our special feature revisits an old friend, Mona Sigal, MD, with whom we worked a number of years ago on a feature about the Pain and Wellness Center in Peabody. Dr. Sigal has now somewhat changed course and is focusing her medical career on the key relationships between health and lifestyle and nutrition. Her new practice, Nourish Health With Food For Life, addresses an important aspect of health care that, despite years of media attention and ringing alarm bells, is still not being adequately addressed in other areas of the industry. Our Career Tracks section features two physicians who are finding career satisfaction and growth with Compass Medical. This is part of a new, regular section that looks at all aspects of physicians' careers in the Greater Boston area. Before I go, I'd like to mention our fall special edition, The CEOs of Health Care, which will focus on the view of the industry from the executive suite. It's an ideal (and unique) opportunity for top executives to share their thoughts about of where the industry is headed and shape the role their organizations are likely to play in that evolving landscape. It really does offer a wonderful opportunity for your CEO to lead the conversation in a way that reflects most positively on your organization. The issue deadline is Oct. 1, so let's chat sooner rather than later if your CEO would like to be featured. As always, thanks to everyone who has helped us put these stories together. We are continuing to firm up our editorial calendar for 2014, so if you have a story you would like us to feature, do let us know. Regards, Michael Jones WE'D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
