H A N K Y O U V E R Y much for reading the May–June issue of MD Ne ws. Once aga in, we examine the world-class health care available right here in Central New York. Our cover story features Southern Tier HealthLink, or STHL. Since 2007, STHL has been developing and expanding a health information exchange that delivers critical patient information to a physician's fingertip any time, day or night. By focusing on innovation and working with community partners, STHL is contribut- ing to more informed decision-making, better patient outcomes, lower healthcare costs and overall enhanced care coordination for the Southern Tier of New York. STHL is led and staffed by fine professionals who truly care about their community, health care and the region. This issue's interior feature is on the Internist Associates of Central New York (IACNY). IACNY has aligned with Crouse Hospital to integrate patient care in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings. After half a century of serving patients in Central New York, IACNY is still building on its legacy. The National Committee for Quality Assurance designated the practice a PCMH (patient-centered medical home), and IACNY is presently a Level 3 PCMH, the highest such designation. Once again, I would like to thank all those who come together to create our magazine. Here at MD News, we are dedicated to delivering an engaging reader experience, one with real local relevance. In each issue, we highlight distinguished and accomplished physicians and practice groups. We also provide updates on the latest medical studies, pointers for managing your practice and a unique look at what is happening in the local medical community. We love to receive nominations for our cover stories, current news within your organization and feedback about articles. I also suggest that you visit www.mdnews.com to discover a wonderful resource for healthcare marketing. We are here to serve the physician and healthcare community.
