6 Fall 2014 Healthy Directions B lake Brian Frazier was born at CentraState Medical Center on March 20, 2014, weighing 10 pounds, 7 ounces and measuring 23 inches in length. His parents, Jackie and Todd, were thrilled to have such a healthy baby boy. Many fathers look at their sons for the first time and future visions of them palling around and playing catch enter their heads. The only difference here is that playing catch is what Todd Frazier does for a living as the starting third baseman for the Cincinnati Reds. Growing up in Toms River, Todd and his Little League team became local celebrities in 1998 when they won the Little League World Series. There was no question that Todd was going to be playing baseball for the rest of his life. He played college ball for Rutgers, and was drafted by the Reds in 2007. After honing his game with the Reds' AAA affiliate, he was called up to the majors in 2011, and has been one of Cincinnati's best players ever since. This past July, Todd made his first All-Star team, and even placed second in the Home Run Derby. Todd's future in the league is extremely bright, to say the least. Jackie and Todd, now both 28, had been longtime sweethearts, meeting at Rutgers where Jackie was a gymnast. They married in 2012, and couldn't wait to start a family together. Jackie grew up in Freehold and has been a patient of Healthy Woman since she was 17 because her mother, sisters and aunt were all patients there and were very happy with the physicians on staff. So when it came time for her to experience her own pregnancy, there was no other ob-gyn group she would rather go to. "They really made it a point that if I had an emergency or something came up, they made time to fit me into their schedule," Jackie says. "I liked seeing the variety of women there, and got to know and trust all of the doctors in the practice." "Our patients' concerns during pregnancy are very important to us, we make time during our schedules to see any patients with a problem," says Susan Pacana, MD, board-certified ob-gyn with Healthy Woman. "Healthy Woman also has a maternity concierge to help our patients during their pregnancies." PREGNANCY A Home Run
