Glen Cove Hospital held Nurse Recognition Day to celebrate and acknowledge the compassionate and quality care nurses give patients daily. Special events included a luncheon, award presentation and book signing by LeAnn Thieman, author of Chicken Soup for the Nurse's Soul. To honor all 200 Glen Cove Hospital nurses, events were scheduled during day, evening and night shifts. Cathy Sheerin, RN, chief nursing officer at Glen Cove Hospital, said, "Our nurses are a family of kindred spirits. With professionalism and selflessness, this remarkable team provides excellent care and outstanding patient satisfaction." B EATLE S FAN S OF all ages were treated to a spectacular summer concert at Old Westbury Gardens featuring music by the Fab Four Ultimate Tribute Band. Proceeds from the event, known as June Tunes, support Glen Cove Hospital's mission to provide the best healthcare to communities. Dressed in costumes from the '60s and '70s, the Fab Four entertained a lively crowd with an incredible lineup of songs from the Beatles' legendary career. The Fab Four has been called "The best Beatles band on Earth," and hundreds of concertgoers can attest to this after taking to the great lawn and dancing the night away.
