CRL now has the first low-dose CT machine with ASiR technology in Minnesota. Consulting Radiologists, Ltd. has invested in an advanced diagnostic system to help physicians reach confident diagnoses. It
provides us a higher level of diagnostic confidence at a significantly lower radiation dose utilizing the new ASiR™ technology. ASiR (Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction) is a new, advanced image reconstruction technique that makes it possible to dramatically reduce radiation dose to patients by up to 40 percent without compromising the quality of the image. This is especially beneficial for children and young adults who may be more susceptible to the possible harmful effects of low level radiation exposures.
