Our pursuit of the best cardiac care spurred the Cleveland Clinic's Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute to approach us about an affiliation, giving our patients the benefit of additional physician consultation on the more difficult cases. In year two of the partnership, all cardiac patients will benefit from our efforts to meet certain Cleveland Clinic standards and metrics, which have propelled our program to an even higher level of care. Ongoing recognition by national quality organizations further demonstrates our commitment to excellence. CHRISTUS St. Michael's orthopedic program includes an accredited Center for Joint Replacement. We are an accredited Primary Stroke Center as well as a Level III Designated Trauma Center in Arkansas and Texas. We are one of only 7 percent of U.S. hospitals to receive the highest quality designation for nursing, Magnet Recognition. Meeting the health care needs of our community and surrounding areas is what the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word determined to do when they founded the hospital nearly 100 years ago.
