From the CEO DEAR FRIENDS, We are excited to bring you Better Living, Rhea Medical Center's new quarterly publication designed with your health in mind. In this premiere issue, we welcome home an RMC general surgeon and Navy SEAL, introduce you to one of our newest physicians, and recap some of our exciting community events of the past year. We also give you tips on spotting symptoms of stroke and how to be proactive against prediabetes, discuss why our emergency department wait times are much less than the national average, and outline why our full line of advanced imaging services can save you from making needless trips to Chattanooga for screenings. SINCERELY, THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT at Rhea Medical Center operates around the clock with qualifi ed physicians and emergency medical specialists available 24 hours a day. Our physicians and nurses have specialized training to provide Ken Croom Chief Executive Offi cer Rhea Medical Center cardiac life support, pediatric life support, and trauma care, with many holding advanced training in resuscitation and triage. The RMC staff follows procedures to see patients within minutes of their arrival. The lab and imaging departments are nearby to allow quick access and fast turnaround times for reports and results.
