JACK DWORKIN NAMED NEW CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER Jack Dworkin, MD, MBA, FACC, has been promoted to vice president, Medical Affairs, and chief medical officer, CentraState. He takes the position over from Benjamin Weinstein, MD, PhD, who is retiring at the end of the year after 32 years at CentraState. Dr. Dworkin, who is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiology, graduated from Jack Dworkin, MD, MBA, FACC the New York University School of medicine in 1981, and performed his internal medicine residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Rutgers Medical School in 1986, and had his own cardiology practice up until he was named chief medical officer. CENTRASTATE ACHIEVES FEDERAL STANDARD FOR HEALTH TECHNOLOGY CentraState Medical Center is among the first hospitals in the country to be recognized as a Meaningful User of Technology by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. By participating in the Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Records Incentive Program, part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, CentraState earned the recognition for adopting technology for electronic medical and health records.
