For more than 15 years, Bahman Guyuron, MD, FACS, has been conducting migraine
headache research in conjunction with Case Western Reserve University. During that
time, he has garnered worldwide attention and several research grants — including a
$3 million grant from the Elisabeth Severance Prentiss Foundation.
CARE FOR KIDS WITH DIABETES
AND ENDOCRINE DISORDERS 14
Last year, Akron Children's Center for Diabetes & Endocrinology recorded 10,000
patient visits. Almost half (48 percent) were related to Type I- and Type II-diabetes.
Following national trends, those numbers are expected to increase.
