One solution found was in a sub-f looring product from Canada, which is comprised of a vapor barrier and rigid insulation and topped with a nailable sub-floor panel, all sandwiched into a single 2-foot by 4-foot product. TESTIMONIAL PROJECT: Ke Kailani Development (Subdivision and Condominiums) LOCATION: Mauna Lani Resort, Kona Coast, Big Island of Hawai'i "This 65-acre development was a combination of single family lots, villa condominiums and common area amenities including a beach grotto, a private park with community meeting and athletic workout facilities, and a grand entry with multiple water features, vehicle bridges and a security guard station. Gary Canner provided independent third party review services for the villa condominiums. In doing so, he gave the development team a comprehensive analysis of the architect team's drawing sets. This review acted like an insurance policy in that his comments further clarified the design intent, filled voids in the information and uncovered conflicting information. The revisions that the architect and his subconsultants subsequently made further tightened up the bid set and ultimately reduced the number of RFIs from the general contractors who bid on the project." — ALAN NEMIROFF BOSTON.BUILDERARCHITECT.COM Builder+Architect Greater Boston |
