The Aquion battery system is the option to recharge the system during the day utilizing the solar array even during a power outage, meaning it could go for days, weeks or even months without power from the grid in the event of a prolonged power outage. When the building loses power, the battery inverter switches to back-up mode, disconnecting from the rest of the home's electrical system and feeding the critical loads through the Aquion 7.2kw/h battery bank. With manganese, carbon, synthetic cotton and seawater as the primary elements of the Aquion battery, it is recyclable. The battery contains no lead, acid or toxic chemicals.
